Anita A. Terry

Anita A. Terry, 86, of Union Springs, passed away on August 12, 2016 at the Matthew House. She was the daughter of the late Harrison and Anna Gardelin Avery. Anita was married to the love of her life for 56 years to the late S. Gilbert Terry on April 23, 1950. Anita worked as a bank teller from 1979 to 1990 from where she retired at Bank of America. She was one of the founding mothers of the Cayuga Lake Quilt Guild, and enjoyed round and square dancing with the Cayuga Cutups group.

She is survived by her

Two sons:        Matthew Terry and his wife Susan of Auburn

                        Bruce Terry of Weedsport

Two Daughters:          Pamela Terry of Union Springs

                                    Denni Harbaugh and her husband David of Phelps

Seven Grandchildren: Andrew Vieira and his wife Megan

                                    Mark Vieira

                                    Michael, James, Nicholas, Connor and Alexa Terry

Eight Great Grandchildren

Visitation will be held from 6PM to 9PM on Monday August 15, 2016 at the Brew Funeral Home, 48 South Street, Auburn, NY.

There will be a memorial service at 11AM on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 163 Cayuga Street, Union Springs, NY.

Contributions may be made to the Matthew House, 43 Metcalf Drive, Auburn, NY 13021 in memory of Anita A. Terry.
