Catherine E. Quinn

Catherine E. Quinn, 64, of Aurelius passed away on September 8, 2016 at Geneva General Hospital. Catherine was born February 12, 1952, in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of Jesse Altman and Elise C. Miller.  She is survived by her mother, her sister, Anita Altman Blalock, of Jacksonville, FL, her son William Christopher Quinn, of Aurelius, a niece, Kimberly Altman, a nephew, Jesse Altman, and was predeceased by her husband, David P. Quinn, D.C., and a niece, Fara Ashley Altman.

A 1971 graduate of Jacksonville, FL high school, Catherine was a great lover of children and animals, including cats, dogs and elephants. She worked for some time at the E.John Gavras Center, in Auburn, and in earlier years worked at a Montessori School in Virginia Beach. More recently, she is remembered as the Office and Client Services Manager at the Quinn Chiropractic Center, in Auburn. She truly enjoyed a feeling of satisfaction that she was helping people. Catherine had a heart for special needs children and adults, and formed many lasting bonds of friendship. She was an avid reader of English author A.A. Milne, and brought delight by nicknaming young friends after the characters in Winnie-the-Pooh. Her memory will be cherished by Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and all her special friends.
