Dallas R. DeBower, 86, of Auburn, NY passed away on Monday September 12, 2016 at home with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Roy Edward and Thea Bauman DeBower, growing up on a farm in Allison, Iowa. Dallas was a partner in an auto parts business for many years. Dallas spent his retirement years working for Cargill Hybrid Seeds Research in Geneva, NY. He served in the US Air Forces from 1950 to 1956 at the Sampson Air Force Base. He was a lifetime member of the Sampson Air Force Base Veterans Association since 2002. He was also a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and served as an elder for many years. Spending winters in South Carolina, he was member of the Lutheran Men in Mission which is part of the Shepard of the Sea Lutheran Church in Garden City SC. Dallas was in a quartet known as the Lakelanders Barshop Harmony Inc, in the Auburn Chapter and in Grand Strand Chapter in Myrtle Beach SC. His loves were his family, gardening, and woodworking.

Bonnie McKean and her husband Frank of Bonita Springs, FL
Grandchildren: Anna, Kali, Amy, Leigh, Brice, Alyssa, Samuel, and Madison
Great Grandchildren: Tristian, Gianna, Jace
In addition to his parents, Dallas was predeceased by his first wife Sylvia DeBower, grandson Tyler DeBower, and brothers Roger, Jim and Larry DeBower.
Visitation will be from 7PM to 9PM on Thursday September 15, 2016 at the Brew Funeral Home, 48 South Street, Auburn.
A funeral service will be at 10AM on September 16, 2016 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 10 Prospect Street, Auburn.
Burial will be at Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn with military honors.
