Geneva Johnson

Geneva Johnson, 92, of Auburn, entered God's eternal rest Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Auburn Nursing Home.

Geneva has been a resident of Auburn most of her adult life. She retired from the former Auburn Plastics. She was a life long member of Roosevelt Memorial Baptist Church, of which she was the youth Sunday school teacher for many years. Before being confined to the nursing home, she enjoyed her weekly senior activities on Wednesdays at the Booker T. Washington Community Center with friends. She enjoyed going out to eat with her best friend Lillie Harris, after church on Sundays and holidays, especially new years eve. She enjoyed spending time with her God-daughter Hattie "Cookie" , and her godson Tyree Anglin.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory a brother-in-law, Arthur Johnson, of Clearwater, Fl.; special niece Sheryl (Victor Ogu) Johnson, of Washington, D. C.; life long friend, Lillie Harris, of Auburn, NY; goddaughter, Hattie "Cookie" Anglin, of Auburn, NY; Godson,Tyree Anglin, of Auburn, NY; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins located in New York City, Chicago, Ill., and South Florida; and spiritual family, Roosevelt Memorial Baptist Church.

Geneva is predeceased by her husband, Pearly Johnson.

Services will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016 @ Roosevelt Memorial Baptist Church. There will be calling hours from 11:00 -12:00 noon, with a home going service immediately following at 12:00 PM. Officiated the service will be the Rev. Robert E. Wilson, pastor
