Coral W. Tanner Obituary

Coral W. Tanner, 95, of Union Springs, passed away on January 30, 2024. He was born on September 9, 1928 to the late William T. and Enid A. Tanner Jr. Coral graduated from Union Springs School in 1945 and went on to further his education at Suny Oswego University earning his B.S degree in 1949 and M.S. degree in 1959. Coral served in the US Army from 1950 to 1952 during the Korean War Conflict and taught driver education for over 30 years in the three schools in Cayuga County. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Phyllis.

He is survived by,

Sisters-in-law: Theresa Giles and Gertrude Jordan

Several Nieces and Nephews

In addition to his parents, Coral was predeceased by his wife Phyllis, two brothers Federick and Will T. Tanner III, three brothers-in-law, Bruce and Bob Giles and Jake Jordan, one sister-in-law Eleanor Giles.

At. Mr. Tanner’s request there will be no calling hours or service.
