David J. Fennessy

It is with great sadness that the family of David John Fennessy, 35 years young, announces his passing on July 1, 2018. David sustained fatal injuries following a tragic automobile accident near his hometown of Madison, WV. David was a great supporter and fan of the Madison, West Virginia sport teams especially the ones his son David plays on. He went to every game to watch and help coach his son as he played. David was great at math and at memorizing all kinds of stats in every sport so there was nothing he did not know about when it came to players and teams in professional sports. David was an avid Tampa Bay Rays fan from growing up as a kid in Orlando. Even thou David leaves his family behind everyone knows that he cared for each and every one of them in their own special way.   

David is survived by his partner of 15 years, Melody Kimbler, their son, David Justin Fennessy (12) and stepson, Zach Elswick (20), all residing in Madison, WV, and is lovingly remembered by his parents, David and Judy Fennessy (originally of Auburn), siblings Michael (Jill) Fennessy, Theresa (David) Helsel, and Bradley (Roberta) Fennessy, all of Orlando, FL, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends, many of Auburn.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 10:00 am, Sacred Heart Church, 90 Melrose Rd, Auburn, NY.
