James E. Smart

James E. Smart, 69, of Owasco, passed away on June 11, 2018 at Auburn Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Eugene and Edith McMillian Smart. Jim enjoyed fishing and camping at many different places but most of all at his favorite place called the Bay. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He taught them art of being a supervisor and leading by example of how to work hard at whatever he did.  Jim worked for Don Clark Oil Company for 15 years and the Town of Owasco for 15 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Alice Smart

In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his son James Smart and son-in-law Jason Holtby Sr.

Visitation will be from 11AM to 1PM on Saturday June 16, 2018 at the Brew Funeral Home, 48 South Street, Auburn with a service to follow at 1PM. Burial will be at Soule Cemetery, Town of Sennett.
