Mary F. Hall Obituary

Mary F. Hall of Rochester, NY, born December 12, 1937 in Macon, GA, to the late Mozell Manuel and Jesse Hall. Our beloved Mary, 80, entered God’s rest, August 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Rochester General Hospital.

Mary also Known to her grand-kids as “Ma Momma,” was the backbone of the Wilson family. Her life was dedicated to loving and nurturing.  For this she received the love and respect of all. She had many love ones in her life, but the most important was God. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church and loved to lift her voice to the lord, not only in the church choir but around the house, especially while cooking the meals we all enjoyed eating along with her dog, Jax “her baby,” or while styling hair, another passion of hers. Her favorite pass time was spending family time, and let’s not forget shopping. Her loving and caring ways made her the best mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Anyone who came to her home and interacted with her, always felt warm and welcomed, and always left with a full stomach. Her humor along with her strong courageous spirit will forever be admired by all, she was our “QUEEN”. Mary was never down, even when she was not feeling well. She always had a smile on her face, with strong words of encouragement and no complaints.

Mary leaves behind to mourn her passing and celebrate her life, one sister, Inez Richardson (AZ), one brother, Willie Manuel Sanford, FL; two daughters, Venice Humphrey, Auburn, NY; Vivian Wilson, Rochester, NY; five sons, Roy Jr. Wilson (Bobbie), Auburn, NY; Pastor Robert  E. Wilson (Verna), Auburn NY; Terry Wilson (Stephanie), Rochester, NY; Ronnie Wilson, Rochester, NY; Calvin Wilson (Sheron), Rochester, NY; twenty five grandchildren, two special grandchildren raised by Mary as her own, Gidelle Wilson, Rochester, NY; Onda Wilson, Powder Springs, GA; and numerous great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her son, Jerome Wilson, Rochester, NY; son-in-law, Andrew Humphrey, Auburn, NY; four brothers, Milton Daniels, Auburn, NY; Lucas Manuel, Auburn, NY; Roy Daniels, Syracuse, NY; Jimmy Daniels, three Sisters, Evelue Dennis, Eufaula, AL; Carolyn Price, Auburn, NY; Ella Mae Humphrey, Arizona; and a special granddaughter, Andilene Humphrey, Rochester, NY.
