Rita L. Wert

Rita L. Wert, 90, of Auburn, passed away on April 15, 2019 at the Commons. A native of Reading, PA. She was born January 20, 1929. The daughter of the late Robert and Wanda Dobinsky Kegerise.

Rita was a former beautician in Reading. She and Bob had lived in the Union Springs and Auburn areas for many years. They were very involved with the SCAT van in Union Springs. Rita owned the Copper Goose, a small antique shop, was an accomplished pianist, and artist, especially painting of birds.

She was predeceased by her husband Bob and an infant son.

Rita is survived by cousins in the PA area and special friends Nancy, Theresa, Terry (Chief), Ellie, Jeff and Michael in Germany.

We would like to give special thanks to all of the staff on the 1st and 7th floors at the Commons for the wonderful care Rira received during her illness.  

As per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Brew Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
