Veronica D. Barr

Veronica "Peachy" Barr, 52 passed away peacefully on April 11, 2018. Veronica fought a long & hard fight & finally went in peace to be with the Lord & her loved ones. Veronica was the baby of ten kids and struggled her entire life with health issues. Through it all, she remained strong & continued to fight till the very end. Veronica loved to walk long distances & really enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Veronica attended Auburn High School and ran track. She had a laugh that will light up the room. Before getting sick, she was a member of Roosevelt Memorial Baptist Church, turning her life to God & getting baptized. Veronica loved being a mom & a grandmother. Her grandchildren were her pride & joys. She really enjoyed cooking, watching stories, & listening to music. Veronica married Jacob Barr in the summer of 1990 & remained married to him. Veronica leaves her three children  to mourn her & miss her endlessly; one son, Omar Flowers  (her pride & joy); two daughters,  RaShonda Flowers & Jeneis Barr (both of Syracuse); her three grandchildren; Adrian Agee Jr, True Messiah Klock, & Jemarion Patrick Lee McClain. Veronica also leaves seven sisters; Bernice Brown, Jackie Brown, Lois  Hayward & Yvette Flowers (All of Auburn), Michele Flowers of Rochester, Sandra Davis & Audrey Flowers  (Syracuse); two brothers, Robert Brown  (Yolanda) & Ricky Flowers(Auburn) Veronica also leaves four sister in laws, Baisey Barr, Olivia Jackson  Rolean & Mattie Brown& one brother in law; Willie Barr. Two aunts; Arcola Barr & Marlene McKinley & a host of cousins, nieces & nephews. Veronica was predeceased by her son Messiah Flowers, mother, Virginia Flowers, her father Vernon Brown, & four sisters; Beverly Borges, Dorothy Flowers, Valerie Brown & Alberta Mason. Calling hours will be at Roosevelt Memorial Baptist Church, Auburn NY on Saturday April 21st at 11am with funeral following at noon. Brew Funeral Home, 48 South Street, Auburn is in charge of the arrangements.
