Beverly K. Leonti Obituary

Beverly K Leonti ,90 of Auburn, went to be with THE LORD, November 11,2025. Beverly was born on January 11,1935 in Camden NY to William and Mildred Torturica...in the midst of The Great Depression. She had four siblings, Richard, Dorothy, Virginia, and Sandy. All who have ties to the Watertown NY area, with D's dance studio, restaurants, and her parents previously owning 'The Eldorado' restaurant/bar in Pyrites, NY. She had a Italian family line with a Historic and Heroic and legacy, which included and is not limited to, her father William, who was in 'The US Cavalry' and stationed in Aqua Prieta, Arizona. Her Uncle was Donald Tremont, who died in a shootout with Police over boot legging Whiskey from Canada. She was related to the Tubolino's by marriage. Beverly worked at Whalen's drug store as a teenager and would walk her little sister Sandy to Thompson Park to play in her spare time. She loved her bike and her dog Butch, which she would later write about. True to her lineage, Beverly married Jack A. Lounsbury, a WW2 hero, on January 16,1953 in Watertown NY at Asbury Methodist church. They had 5 children together, Bonnie K., Jack V., Carol M., Mary A., and Larry M. Lounsbury. For a short time she helped raise her oldest grandaughter, Gloria Lounsbury.

Beverly remarried Anthony Leonti and had one child together, Rosalia A.. Of whom both predeceased her. She had several Grandchildren, Great grandchildren, and Great Great grandchildren. Gloria, Naomi, James, Freddie, Becky, Skippy, Tiffany, Kenny, Angela, Michael, Jennifer, Heather, Christopher, Holly, Spencer, Shonei, Claire, Joseph, Nina, Amelia, Jackson, Keigan, Natalie, Greyson, Lily, Claire, Penelope, Silas, Mia, Allison, Emilie, Cailee, Coleen, Gabriel, Adrian, William, and Mogul. She also has 6 nieces and nephews, and several others.

Beverly was an avid gifted writer, in which she won many contests for her Poetry and writings. Of which later in life she found her friend Sam Hall. To tell of her life and laughter and fight and tears, would take a book to write. She loved to travel and couldn't be held down. Always on the run, "Loving Life". Always wanting to be with people. Working in the hospitals, Friendly's restaurant, Movie Plex theatre, and as a lunch monitor in East Middle school for years. She loved children, animals, gardening, (award winning Tomatoes) penpals from all over the world, and Gunsmoke tv show at the end of every day. She babysat often and spent much time with her Great Grandaughter Holly. She drove herself everywhere from The NYS Fair to church every week. Making many friends and helping out. She was Independent and a Widow for 34 years.

On December 8, 2024 Beverly drove herself to Blessed Hope Baptist church In Jordan, one last time. There she was blessed to watch and listen to her Great Great Grandson Greyson, preach from the pulpit at age 11. On December 17,2024 Beverly verbally gave a profession of Faith to Salvation, through JESUS CHRIST. Officially giving her life to THE LORD. The next year, she gave them all," A run for their money". Walking the corridors of hospitals and nursing homes. Not sitting still. (Regarding the HOLY SPIRIT) She stated, "He's always with me." Though her flesh may have been getting weak, Her Spirit was strong all the way. Beverly did not succumb to death, but through Victory in JESUS, she got right back up, off that hospital bed, and took off running...and went to be with her LORD and SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST. -John 3:16- Friends and family are invited to a " Celebration of Life" in the Spring. To be announced. Check back. "It's not how you start, but how you finish". Remember Boaz's Mother. Run the Race that's set before you. A special thanks to Brew Funeral Home and a special friend named. "D".
