Beverly “Midge” Lawrence
Midge was born in Auburn on December 4, 1946 and passed at Auburn Community Hospital on May 31, 2026 after a short battle with cancer.
Midge is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Bill; two daughters and sons in law, Melissa (Eric) Leader and Tracy (Will) Talbot; seven grandchildren Cody Smith, Christopher Gantter, Dylan Flask, Joe Smith, Samantha Clancy, Chloe Leader and Cierra Leader; eight great grandchildren Cohlton, Cashen, Gage, Collin, Wyatt, Joshua, Jake and Kylie.
Midge was predeceased by her parents Charles and Dorothy Weed; brothers Gary Weed, Chuck Weed, Thomas Weed, Edward Weed, Keith Weed and Micky Hess; sisters Barbara Marino, Sharon Saville, Ginny Weed and Mina Kimball.
Midge worked for years at Cayuga Home for Children and volunteered for a decade with Savar Rape Crisis. Midge’s most recent employment was a cafeteria aide for Auburn City Schools which she loved tremendously. Midge had a special gift of connection and care for kids of all ages. She would do anything to make them laugh or smile.
Midge loved horses, baking for family and friends, decorating, and her chance at scratch off’s (maybe too often) but mostly her time spent with her husband and family. Her grandchildren were her whole heart.
Per Midge’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057 in memory of Midge.
