Beverly Sue Besner, age 60, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Beverly was married to her husband, Michael J. Besner, Sr., for nearly 33 years. Together they built a life rooted in love, family, and community. She was the proud owner of Quality Café, a coffee shop at Waterloo Premium Outlets, where she found great joy in meeting people and serving others. Beverly had a warm heart and a welcoming smile that made everyone feel at home. Beverly was selfless and always willing to go out of her way to help anyone in need. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren, enjoyed bowling, and reading in her quieter moments. Beverly’s love for her family and the connections she made with others defined who she was. She is survived by her husband, Michael J. Besner, Sr.; her children, Monique Sweeting (Robert Spano), Veronica Colegrove, and Matthew Besner; her stepchildren, Michael Besner Jr. (Gina) and John Besner (Sarah); her mother, Madeleine Carpenter; her sisters, Bobbi Miles and Billie Jo Carpenter Hyer; and her brother, Jeffrey Carpenter, and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, Richard Carpenter, and her brother, Johnny Carpenter. Calling hours will be held at Brew Funeral Home, 48 South Street, Auburn, NY 13021, on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed immediately by services. The committal service will be at 10AM on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Elbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, or the Aurelius or Cayuga Volunteer Fire Departments. Beverly will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
