Bill Abbott

Bill Abbott, a longtime resident of Auburn, NY died on June 8, 2025 at the age of 85 years old.

Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marilyn Abbott, his brother Ron Abbott; his children, Peter (Lydia) Abbott, Michael (Charlene) Abbott, Kimberly (Bill) Dahl, his grandchildren Victoria Abbott, Dominique (Ethan) Bush, Brandon and Ashley Abbott, Francis and Liam Dahl and several great grandchildren he loved so dearly.

Bill spent 23 years in the Navy as a proud Chief Petty Naval Officer serving on several different Naval Destroyers.

If anyone knew Bill, they knew he was an avid Syracuse fan; some would even say if you cut him he'd bleed blue and orange. He also loved camping, fishing, wrestling and football and was more than willing to share this love if someone dared to ask him about it.

There will be no services following his passing, but we thank everyone for their prayers as we know he was loved by many. We will miss Bill dearly, and find comfort knowing he will live on in all of the people's lives he touched.
