Darcus M. Parker of Auburn, NY went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ and reunited with the loved ones who had gone before her on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. She was 68.
Born October, 13, 1957 in Auburn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Parker Jr. and Edna D. Parker.
She was a lifelong resident of Auburn, NY. And was a joyous, inquisitive and precocious child.
In her youth, Darcus loved dancing to the music of Michael Jackson and the Supremes. She was an avid, brave, and enthusiastic traveler, both locally and throughout the South with her family. Before she obtained her driver’s license, she even traveled by bus to Syracuse to continue her post-high school education.
She always looked forward to her annual trips to the New York State Fair and “The Taste of Syracuse!” Her travels also took her to many other places, including New York City and Georgia.
In addition to her parents, Darcus was predeceased by her sister, Anvenett L. Hill.
She leaves to cherish her memory. Her brother, Gordie W. Walker, Sr.; her sister in love, Leslie V. Walker, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be a graveside service at 10AM on Monday, June 1, 2026 at Fort Hill Cemetery in Auburn.
