Gary E. David, 73, also known as Tiny passed away in the early morning hours of March 25th at Auburn Community Hospital. Born and raised in Auburn, New York. He was the son of the late Richard G. David and Leona T. Post Scott. He attended Auburn City Schools and later received his G.E.D. He was a machine specialist at McQuay International for 40+ years where he retired when the plant closed.
In his spare time, he enjoyed activities such as golfing, mowing his lawn, enjoying a “secret: lunch at KFC and his all-time favorite Drag Racing/ Hot Rods.
He is survived by his daughter Kimberly David (Jayme) of Auburn. 3 Grandchildren Darien (Darick) of Auburn, Michael “Mikey” (Gabrielle) of Memphis and Ethan of Auburn. Step daughter Terri York of Auburn, Brother Ronald David (Roseann) of Lakeland, FL., Sister Robin Splane of Marion, South Carolina, Sister in-law Ronda David of Auburn, Aunt Dorothy Wild of Auburn and his very favorite Aunt Barbara Richardson of Geneseo. Many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Great Grandchildren, Friends Donna Adams, Bobby Parker, Larrry Detzel, Dougy Homes and Craig Nye.
In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by his brother Richard A. David, brother-in-law James “Jim Splane, and infant great grandchild Olivia David, best friend Donald “Hutch” Hutchings, and several aunts.
It was Gary’s last wish to be cremated with no visitation. A celebration of life and burial will be announced at a later date.
