UNION SPRINGS– George Burnett, 80, of Union Springs, went to be with the Lord and his loving wife on October 7th, 2023.
George was the son of the late George Sr. and Trudy Burnett.
He was a long-time resident of Union Springs, a retired tractor-trailer Driver, a beloved husband, father, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, brother, and Friend. He is known for his love of fishing and hunting, his passion for the outdoors, and was known to many as the master teller of tales. George enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, watching the Bills and the Yankees, camping in Pulaski on the Salmon River, and fishing the salmon run.
George is survived by sons: Todd Burnett (Dawn), and Scott Burnett (Jenny) daughter Lorrie Johnson (Corey) his brothers: Ken Burnett, grandchildren: Michael Hoepfl, Jameson Johnson, Kayleigh Torres ( Antonio), Emileigh Johnson (Patrick), Tyler Burnett, Danielle Rotko (Andrew), TJ Burnett, Corey Burnett, Chad Burnett(Amanda), and Brooke. Great Grandchildren Tony, Taya, Blake, Baylee, and Logan. His very special nieces and nephews, and dear friends. George was predeceased by his loving wife Georgene Burnett, parents George and Trudy Burnett, sister Ada, sister-in-law June and Granddaughter Ashlee.
Friends are invited to honor his life at Brew Funeral Home, 48 South Street, Auburn with a calling hour from 3PM to 4PM, Thursday, October 12, 2023 with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 pm
