James E. Markes

James E. Markes, 80, of Auburn, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025 at the Commons. He was born on July 5, 1945 in Massena, NY to the late Leon and Rita St. Thomas Markes. James served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. During his career he worked as a machinist for many years and later for a short time he worked as an oil rigger.  

He is survived by,

Brother:   Robert P. Markes and Sally Hunold

In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his brother Carl J. Markes and Sister Diane M. Gonyea.

There will be a funeral service at Brew Funeral Home on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00am. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Massena, NY.
