Johan N. Lehtonen

Johan N. Lehtonen, 84, of Union Springs, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 with his family at his side. Johan was born on July 27, 1939 in Oswego, NY to the late Jack and Naomi (Grant) Lehtonen. He retired from Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls, NY. He was a member of the Air National Guard and served active duty Air Force in Europe.  

He is survived by his four sons, Scott Lehtonen and his wife Marnee, of Bath, NY. Todd Lehtonen and his wife Brenda C. of Poplar Ridge, NY. Jon Lehtonen and his wife Brenda B., of Kirkwood, NY and Steven Lehtonen and Danielle Swan, of Penfield , NY. One brother, Andrew Lehtonen and his wife Claire, of Ormond Beach, FL. One sister Susan Kramak, of Pulaski, NY. Grandchildren, Ashley, Jack, Kevin, Tyler, Ryan, Bella, Ryder, Parker and Spencer. Great Grandchildren, Aurora and Audrey. Many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Johan was predeceased by his wife Nancy C. Lehtonen and daughter-in-law Suzanne M. Lehtonen.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11am at St. Michael’s Church, 162 Cayuga Street, Union Springs, NY with a luncheon to follow at the Union Springs Fire Department, 257 Cayuga Street, Union Springs, NY.

There will be no calling hours.
