Judith “Judy” G.  Romig passed away peacefully at her home on September 2, 2025.  Judy was born to Ramona Longley and Michael Signorelli in Auburn, NY on August 9, 1947.  She attended Seward Elementary School and Central High School, graduating in 1965.

She also worked at Cayuga County Saving Bank at the drive-thru on Loop Road.  Later, she worked as a teacher’s Aid for BOCES in Southern Cayuga and Moravia Schools and then in Auburn at Casey Park School.

Judy was a dedicated mother to her three sons, Hobert “Buster” B. Romig IV, Dr. Mark Cole Romig and Daniel Brett Romig.  She and her husband, Hobert “Hobie” B. Romig III met at Mr. Zim’s restaurant in Auburn and were married in Auburn on August 29, 1969.  She has three grandchildren, Zachary and Sasha Romig and Cleland Romig.

After they retired Judy and Hobie spent many winters in Stuart, Florida, escaping the harsh upstate weather where she played Mahjong and he played Pickleball.
