CAYUGA – Kenneth Alan Carpenter, 65, of Cayuga, lost his courageous battle with cancer, peacefully on April 2, 2024 at Auburn Community Hospital under the compassionate, watchful and professional care of the staff of 3rd Memorial. Kenny was born on November 18, 1958 in Sterling, CO to the late Arthur Edwin and Betty Elaine Carpenter. Kenny was a master craftsman, supremely talented in carpentry, construction, painting, ambulance construction and electrical systems and anything he put his mind to! Kenny was recruited from Orlando Florida where he was employed by Wheeled Coach, the nations largest manufacturer of ambulances and emergency vehicles by Auburn based Response Vehicles in 1988. In later years he was self employed and became well known for his high level of skill and attention to detail in every job – whether major construction, repairing damages or fixing a deck. An avid golfer and football fan Kenny often wore his favorite jerseys and ball caps (especially the Denver Broncos) while cheering on his teams!!! In addition to his parents, Kenny was predeceased by his sisters Lois Catherine Hinrichs and Linda Ann Woddell. Surviving are sisters Connie Harris and Carol Dusenbery of Texas, Eileen Burnick of Colorado, several nieces and nephews, and several close friends. Visiting hours will be from 4-6 pm on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Brew Funeral Home, 48 South Street, Auburn with a service to follow at 6PM. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to GoFundMe/Kenny Carpenter or directly to Lon Fricano, 321 Backus Road, Cayuga, NY 13034 to help with final expenses and would be appreciated.
