In Loving Memory of Kenneth George Rouse
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth George Rouse, 86, of Union Springs, NY, who peacefully passed at home on May 30, 2025.
A lifelong resident of Union Springs, Ken was born on May 3, 1939, to Laverne and Dorothy Rouse. On May 16, 1959, he married the love of his life, Claudia, beginning a beautiful journey of love, devotion, and family.
Ken was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and a cherished member of his community. He served with pride in the National Guard, volunteered as a firefighter, and served as a Little League coach. He loved bullhead fishing with his father and children. A passionate sports fan, Ken faithfully cheered on his children, grandchildren, and his favorite teams—the SU Orangemen and the NY Yankees.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Claudia; his children, Michele, Bradley, Brenda (John), Dean (Shellie), and Sandra; his grandchildren, Jessica, Michael H., Edmund, Michael R., Kaylee, Brianna, Brittany, and Jaimey; and 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Laverne Rouse, his brother Lynn, and his sister Verna.
A service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ, 163 Cayuga St., Union Springs, NY, at 2PM on Saturday, June 7, 2025., followed by desserts and refreshments. In honor of Ken’s love for sports, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite sports shirt.
Ken’s legacy of love, dedication, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
