Leslie Frederick McLeod, 50, of Auburn, NY, passed away on October 27, 2024. He was born on June 10, 1974, at Auburn Memorial Hospital in Auburn, NY, to Leslie C. McLeod and Mary Ann Benson-Gathers.
Leslie was a lifelong resident of Auburn, where he attended Auburn City Schools. Known for his love of learning, he was an avid reader with a passion for trivia. Jeopardy was his favorite show, and he impressed family and friends with his broad knowledge. Leslie was also a talented singer and dancer, bringing joy and laughter to gatherings with his vibrant personality and warm heart.
Leslie was a devoted father, and his children were his pride and joy. He is survived by his son, Jovaughn McLeod (Kristin), granddaughter Arabella Miles, and expected grandchild Baby Mcleod, his daughter, Olevia McLeod, and the mother of his children, Tammy Rossi (Dan). His daughter, Zanae Robinson, and expected grandson, Zion Robinson-Hickman. Two very special children, Ethan and Parker O’Hara, who shared a unique bond and held a special place in his heart.
In recent years, Leslie’s faith became a central part of his life, guiding him to serve others with compassion and kindness. He was known for his generosity, offering support to those in need, whether through a caring gesture, a listening ear, or a helping hand.
Leslie is survived by his father, Leslie C. McLeod, his siblings, Angela Rackley-Meadows (Roland) and Tara McLeod (Sophia), his stepsister, Alyssa Whitfield (Michael), his god-sister, Laronda Agee, and god-brother, Jamar McLeod. He will be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Benson-Gathers, his stepmother, Barbara McLeod, his grandmothers, Anne McLeod, Carrie Mosley, and his very dear friend Rishanna Wellington.
Leslie’s life was a testament to love, faith, and joy. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
There will be visitation from 12PM to 2PM on Wednesday, November 6 ,2024 at the Auburn Alliance Church, 630 N. Seward Avenue, Auburn, NY will a funeral service to follow at 2PM. Condolences may be made at www.brewfuneralhome.com
