MALCOLM RICHARD MILLER (Dick)
Dick was able to pass peacefully at home with family by his side on Wednesday, June 5 ,2024. The family would like to thank Vicki, Denise, Sue and others of Hospice for their loving care.
Dick Miller was born 2 March 1942, Philadelphia, PA to the late Dr Malcolm and Elaine (Crossett) Miller.
He loved living the quiet life with the love of his life, Diane Susan Davis Miller. Married in 1965 and growing together for 59 years. Loving time with family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, gardens and their precious animals. Dick also loved the mountains, lakes and woods of the Adirondacks and could often be found with his beloved German Shepherds wandering the mountains or in a canoe, and later in life along the shores of Lake Ontario exploring our beautiful Mother Earth. Dick left us all a parting message…...I am free and everywhere and stroking happily along the lakes and rivers of the Universe with all my wild and free brothers and sisters. So do not be sad for me; I am soaring!! So live your life joyfully in every minute and never let a day go by without showing love and gratitude to our Mother Earth and Her wild children. They bring us peace and oneness if we will but be silent and allow our unity and oneness”.
Dick earned an B.A., from Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA 1964 in foreign languages before working for the National Security Agency from 1965 to 1966. In 1966 Dick entered the U.S. Navy working his way up to being a lieutenant before discharging in 1971. He also worked for the Cayuga County 911 as an administrator/project director from 1997 to 2001.
