MaryAnn Crane Obituary

MaryAnn Crane, 74, of Sennett, NY an Angel too beautiful for this Earth passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in the early morning hours on June 17th, 2025 and after a long hard fight with COPD and with her daughter Tammy & her son in law Murray Rogers by her side.

MaryAnn was born June 25th,1950, in Syracuse, NY to the late Frances & William Holbrook. MaryAnn grew up in Weedsport, alongside her 5 brothers and 5 sisters, she is predeceased by 3 of her brothers and 1 sister. Graduating from Weedsport Jr. Sr. High School in 1968 and she went on to receive a degree in Business Management and Psychology from Cayuga Community College. She had various jobs over the years but was employed as an Electronic Tech with Creative Electric in 1996 until a few years prior to her death.

MaryAnn met and fell in love with the love of her life Carroll R. Crane and they were married on March 25th, 1989 in Florida. She is predeceased by her husband becoming a widow April 22nd, 2012.

She was an amazing mother to her 5 children who she loved deeply, Diane Crandell (Barry), Liz Silverstein (Andy) Tammy Rogers (Murray), Billie-Jo Helton (Tony), Rob Cuddy (Andrea). 

She was the best Grandma to 9 grandchildren, Jimi (Vicki), Kevin (Liz), Jeremy (Tiffany) Kohanski, Nicole (Chris) Ptacek, Tony (Megan) & Amy (Austin) Helton, Connor, Dylan & Jackson Cuddy Angela Burkhart (Shaun), Lindsay Valliere, Jacob Silverstein (Deb).

Also a Great Grandma to 14 Wesley, Hayleigh, Kevin Jr., Benjamin, Charlotte, Janice, Cathryn, Gracelynn, Jericho, Carleigh, Madieleigh, Ansleigh, Doris & Tony the 3rd. She also shared a close bond with her stepchildren, Wanda, Kim, Theresa & their families, predeceased by her stepchildren Dan and Valerie Crane.

Before her illness MaryAnn was an avid gardener, loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed watching the Food Network, HGTV, Wheel of Fortune and Fire Country. She also enjoyed going to get pedicures with her daughter Tammy. She had the most special bond and time being a GG to her monkey man Jericho “her great grandson” who sadly passed away in 2018, and his older sister Gracelynn who she helped raise and spent a lot of time with. She also had a special relationship with her son-in-law Jim Kohanski (Tammy) until he passed away in 2016.

As per her wishes there will be no viewing, just a memorial service on Monday June 23, 2025 at Brew Funeral Home, 48 South Street, Auburn, NY 13021 at 11 am, with a private burial for immediate family at Lakeview Cemetery.
