Patricia Ann Silliman, born August 31, 1946, in Auburn, New York, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026. She spent most of her life in Auburn before settling in Union Springs in her later years, a place she came to love and call home.
Patricia was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her three children — Marybeth Bachman (William Anderson), George Silliman (Julie Brandstetter), and Missy Silliman (Milt Black) who were the center of her world. She also leaves behind five grandchildren — Billy, Tiffany, Jordan, Caden, and Tristian — and two great‑grandchildren, Joey and Maddie, all of whom brought her endless joy.
She is also survived by her brothers Ray and Mick, along with many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. Patricia was predeceased by her husband, George Silliman Sr., whom she lost at a young age, as well as her parents Pearl and Christopher Bachman, her sisters Sharon and Dolores, and her brother Ricky.
Patricia lived her life with a deep love for her family. After the passing of her husband, she raised her three children on her own, dedicating every part of herself to giving them a full and loving life. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering devotion defined her.
She had a passion for antiques and collectibles, finding joy in thrift stores, flea markets, and the thrill of discovering hidden treasures. Her home was a reflection of her creativity and eye for beauty, decorated with the pieces she lovingly gathered over the years. In her younger days, Patricia worked as a housekeeper, a role she took pride in and performed with care.
Known affectionately as “Patty” or “Pat,” she was a woman with a love for life, a warm heart, and a spirit that touched everyone around her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her humor, and the way she made every person feel valued.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal services, but a celebration of life will be held later this year so that family and friends can gather to honor her memory.
Patricia will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
