Rita M. Kricks

Rita M. Kricks, 94, of Auburn NY passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024. She was born in Chicopee Falls, MA, to the late Alyre and Emma LeBlanc. She led a life of compassion, determination and love for her family, friends and animals.

In addition to her parents, Rita was predeceased by her husband Helmut Kricks, son Daniel Kricks, daughter-in-law Patricia Kricks, sisters Bessie Sharf, Annie Mosley and brother Gerald LeBlanc and best friend Lois.

She is survived by, nephews Charles Mosley (Judy Fredette), Thomas Mosley, Paul LeBlanc, nieces Patricia Mosley, JoAnn Thornton and Diane Thomas, great niece Tara Thornton, numerous other great nieces and nephews and her dear friends Mary Flood and Carol Leonard

Rita spent numerous years traveling the world with her family and loved being near the ocean in NJ. She worked as a dental assistant for many years and for AAA as a travel agent. Rita loved casinos and while she never won the “big one” she tried like hell to her dying day!

Her biggest passions in life included bird watching, her many dogs and cats and any animals she could feed. Rita will long be remembered for her sense of humor, her love of music & fashion and her unending empathy for all people.

The family of Rita Kricks would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and volunteers at Matthew House in Auburn, for their unwavering compassion and care during her last days.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23 from 4PM to 6PM at Brew Funeral Home, 48 South Street, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Matthew House, 43 Metcalf Drive, Auburn or the Finger Lakes SPCA, 41 York Street, Auburn in the memory of Rita M. Kricks.
