Today, we gather to honor and remember Ryan Turner, a beloved son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many with his vibrant spirit. Born on December 4, 1985, in Kingston, Jamaica, Ryan's journey was one of love and perseverance. Ryan's story began at Victoria Jubilee Hospital, where he was welcomed into this world by his loving parents, Melvina Clemmings -Turner and Rubin Turner. Growing up in a large family with six siblings, Ryan learned early on the true meaning of family and the value of nurturing bonds with those around him. His educational journey took him from Shoota's Hill Preschool to Kingston Technical High School, where he honed his skills in technical drawing. In 2003, Ryan embarked on a new chapter of his life, moving to America with dreams of a brighter future. It was during this time that he met his fiancé, Kimone, marking the beginning of a beautiful partnership. Ryan's work ethic shone through as he built a career in the fast-food industry, eventually becoming a manager at Dunkin' Donuts, a position he held with pride for 13 years until his passing. His move to Syracuse, NY, in 2013 opened new doors and experiences, but Ryan never forgot his roots or the importance of staying connected with loved ones. Ryan's life was a testament to the power of joy and human connection. He had a gift for making people laugh, brightening even the darkest days with his humor and warmth. His love for music filled his life with rhythm and melody, while his passion for watching Judge Judy reflected his appreciation for justice filled with moments of light comedy. Perhaps most touching were his weekly Sunday video calls with his nephews, Curtis Beckford and Otis Winters. These cherished moments were more than just conversations; they were a sacred time for sharing dreams, nurturing bonds, and inspiring each other. As we bid farewell to Ryan, we remember a man who lived life with an open heart and a generous spirit. Though he was preceded in death by both his parents, his sister Sophia Chambers, and Sandra Turner, their love continued to shape his life and the lives of those around him. Ryan's legacy lives on through his daughter Kimora, his fiancé Kimone, his siblings Wayne, Richie, Trevor, Sylvia, Sophia and Novlet, and all those whose lives he touched with his kindness and laughter. Ryan Turner's journey may have ended too soon, but the impact of his life will continue to resonate in our hearts. He showed us the importance of family, the power of perseverance, and the beauty of chasing our dreams. As we say goodbye, let us carry forward Ryan's spirit of joy, his love for laughter, and his dedication to family. May his memory be a blessing and an inspiration to us all, reminding us to cherish each moment and to live with the same warmth and enthusiasm that Ryan brought to every day of his life.
