Dear Linda and family.
We were so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I actually saw it on Facebook from Melanie. Ed was a consummate gentleman. He was a hard working man who was devoted to his family. He supported his community and was a good friend to many. It is so hard to lose such a special person. He gave my Environmental Science class a tour of the water treatment plant. I was impressed with his knowledge and the responsibility he handled by himself. He was very kind to my students. That's just how Ed was. He leaves a wonderful legacy and memories in the community he so ably served. He will be sorely missed, but most fondly remembered.

Dear Linda and Jon and the Tanner Family,
My family and I were deeply saddened to hear of Ed's passing. When we lived in Union Springs, everyone in the village knew Ed and respected him. One time he helped Bruce clear away a tree from our yard that had come down in a storm. His uncle and our neighbor, Lou Connell, also helped with that project.
Jon gave us a wooden star his father had made. Every Christmas that star hung on the front of our house on Center St. It was beautiful.
Linda and Ed both welcomed Kevin into their home. He loved playing with Jon up on Anthony St. And I knew the Tanners kept an eye on that field across the street from their home. It made for made for great childhood memories for all those kids.
My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.
Sincerely, Patty Sharpe
