Amelia M. Fritz

October 10, 2017: Amelia M. Fritz passed away. Born to Leon and Ida Brooks Lambert in Massena, N.Y. She had resided most of her life in the Weedsport area.

Amelia enjoyed many passions in her life, including gardening and preserving the fruits of her labor. Throughout her life she had a love for music. She enjoyed dancing and roller skating, often telling how she had used her “shoe stamp” for a new pair of roller skates during the war. Because she had known loss and hardship, she believed in kindness and appreciated what she had. She always loved a good sale.

She leaves behind the children she loved so much, Steven (Patricia) Fritz, Cindy (Tim) Borst, Amy (Kirk) Bumpus and Beverly (Michael) Fouts, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson, a sister Lorraine Bellnier and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, John A. Fritz, daughters Sandra Fritz, and Karen Parker, a son John Fritz Jr., grandsons Baxter Fritz, and Paxton Fritz, brother Louis Lambert and sister Jenny Bianco.

The family request no flowers, but to honor her memory with an act of kindness. Services will be private. Brew Funeral Home, Auburn is in charge of the arrangements.
